Re: Fitting tyres to SIP tubeless rims

Any tyre shop that fits car tyres should be able to fit them (as long as their machine will fit 10" wheels)
I just go to my mates place and fit them myself, just the same as fitting any car tyre. Now AF or scoot rs tubeless are a whole different ball game !

Re: Paintwork scratch's easy

if it's 2 k clear it should be rock hard after 2 months !
sounds to me like it's been mixed wrong or he's mixed products
I know it's not what you want to hear, but a total respray would probably be the only cure (no pun intended)

Re: Paintwork scratch's easy

If spraying a "proper" HS lacquer (quartz liquid glass, Max Meyer 0300 and other decent brands) they are better if you bake them, or at least spray in a warm environment and do a 30% 70% 2 coat process letting it flash off properly in between coats but if you don't have the facilities to b...

Re: Paintwork scratch's easy

As mentioned before any 2K lacquer should set hard within 48-72 hours, there are a few reasons it may still be soft, wrong mixing ratio, mixing lacquer/hardener types (HS lacquer and MS hardener/thinners etc.) If it's a HS lacquer, was it baked or air dried, some HS lacquers need to be baked to cure...

Re: Carb issues

First of all, check if choke is working properly, bin the plastic float bowl as they warp and the rubber gasket starts to leak, change it for an alloy one, as Dapper said, grind the 2 little float stops off the bottom of the new float bowl, check float height between 19-21mm (I always set them at 20...

Re: Avanti TS1 pistons

i have an Avanti piston in my TS1, ring peg position is fine as long as boost port hasn't been widened
and for just over a 3rd of the price of an ASSO piston they got to be worth a try
