Re: The end of the Lambretta crank as we know it ???
I'm not arguing! Who said I was arguing? I'm certainly not arguing against the LPC-how can I ? I ride a Performance Tuning machine:D I can argue about the cranks tho.. ;) So if Performance Tuning believe in LPC but its not necessarliy due to a redesigned crank - is it a combination of factors, esp ...

Re: Cannot Start Engine!!
Do you know what tolerances he used when reboring the cylinder?
I'd want 4 thou on a cast 225 set-up - even then running it in carefully. Also see Edens post re. old school 240 set-up and note how important it is to get the jetting correct. These big bore cast motors really can get hot.

Re: off the top or bottom
Did you initially want to take 1mm off the base of the TS cylinder to give it that "touring" tune but ended up taking 1.5 mm to allow for the height difference in Injun casings? I know MB recommend the 110 yam rod and packing plates for folk who just want the above. What stroke crank and p...

Re: The end of the Lambretta crank as we know it ???
Hmmmmm remember that thread the other week about that red scruffy S2 TS1 that made 30+ HP on JB's dyno. Now that had a trememndous amount of work done on enlarging the transfer areas, esp on the crankcase. Even JB said he was amazed at the results. I believe some of this work had been started by Jer...

Re: Bgm staor probs
A bgm stator with matching flywheel would be nice. You know.... a flywheel with correctly aligned secure magnets, correct taper, correct clearance, correct weight etc - built to BGM's impressive build quality to date ........just a thought

Re: Bgm staor probs
I have seen the new improved BGM black ignition pick-ups. Not saying that this is your problem but if they are making better versions of the pick-ups then something wasn't perfect to begin with.

Re: Dead RB kit
Heat does seem to be the evil enemy of these kits. Im wondering if its the inadequate cooling of the barrel via the flywheel fan rather than the design thats at fault. At the recent Calafat 6hr enduro race a standard rb225 with a water cooled head performed brilliantly, taking fastest lap and was th...
