Re: Air Intake Question
Your post got me thinking about intake flow theory and I found this http://www.zzperformance.com/blog/intake-designs-airflow-testing-and-theories/ It's based on 4t testing but I think there are some intresting findings. Specifically bends in the air flow tract really slow down the flow (not good for...

Re: Another TS1
At the time I was a little burned out in that bike and had just picked up a TV200 that needed a resto. Ended up trading the black one for a SX200 and Silver special (both projects). Sold those off to fund the TV and wipe out some card debt. Wish I would have kept it now, way too much work to build i...

Another TS1
Was digging around some old flash drives and found this. http://scoot.net/gallery/bbs/DSC_0034a.jpg It's my TS1 right before I sold it. I think a member on here has it now. Orgional tune by Taffspeed with taff type 3 exhaust (ceramic coated), varitronic ignition, Hot Rod Scooters velocity stack on a...

Re: pro design bullet
I have one on my rb20. Very well made and a good fit. Nice kick around 6k and kept on going to 9ish. The only thing I didn't like about it was there was no end can support so the can bumped the kick lever bolt. It's an easy enough fix I just haven't had the time to mess with it. http://scoot.net/gal...

Re: Doing the shimmy!!!
SORRY....for late reply!!!.....i managed to get it shimmed up with am MB undersized shim 1.70 with no use for the hub end shims (of course as said these would have opposite effect).... for information both Cam Lam & Beedspeed have even thinner shims Good to know about the thinner shims being av...

Re: Painting a clubman..
the best is ceramic coating .. bloody expecive though :D The price on ceramic coating is starting to come down now that more people know about it and are having it done. I had my origional box and headder coated and it looks great going on 6 years with no signs of flaking, chipping or discoloring. ...

Re: Lambretta badge fitting tool.
Not trying to knock what you are selling but I had one of those tools a while back (don't remember who made it) and ended up giving it away. It always flexed and the badges never peened correctly. The design was flawed, much too thin and if the the two ends are not perfectly alinged the pin won't sp...

Re: Doing the shimmy!!!
...and a couple of shims that you can put Hub bearing end of Layshaft??? This is what got me thinking the is an extra shim where it shouldn't be. Maybe I read it wrong ,it was late. I'm curious to know if the loose gears sit excessively high on the layshaft when assembled. That would tell you if th...

Re: Doing the shimmy!!!
You answered your own question. If you have a shim or two between the layshaft and the rear main bearing you are reducing your main shim clearance down below the thinnest aviable shim. Think about it, you are making the length of the layshaft longer by adding shims. The only reason to ever add one t...
