SIP Rims on a pepperpot disc
Anyone fitted SIP rims to one of the viet pepperpot disc brakes, it's got the allen head bolts, only had a quick look but the the part of the stud that fit's in the hub is a lot shorter than the SIP studs?

Springs are supposed to be slightly offset to take up snatch. Had the clutch apart again and noticed that if I line the hole in the basket and the hole on the driven plate up the springs sit slightly off line, you can only see it if the spring cups are removed, moved the plate around untill I got the spings straight rebuilt the clutch and there's no drag, but ...

Checked the steels and corks on a marble slab I use it's perfectly level, the hole in the backplate and basket line up, I've tried 2 sets of springs, checked the height on them all. Hi Tony, It's a 3 plate cork, the new one I fitted was a Newfren standard kit. The best I had it was started it up tried it a couple of times in the workshop and seemed ok just needed to tighten the cable up as it was biting to close to the grip, but thought I'd take it out to check the gears were e...

Hi Tony,
I'll give that a try, when using the clutch compressor with one complete turn of the nut the plates are seperated.

It's a standard 3 plate clutch, the spacer washer is approx 3.2mm, the thin shim is .6mm and the clearance using a straight edge on the clutch centre is .5mm

If I set by the normally by the cable it feels fine, When I tighten it up to try and stop the drag it's way to stiff and heavy if that makes sense.
