Re: New pinasco casings

Smallframe? Largeframe? Which cylinder are you planning on using? What type of induction does it use and where? Assuming it's a largeframe and you're using a more modern type of motorbike barrel which generally use crankcase reed induction I'd start here. https://www.sip-scootershop.com/en/products/...

Re: MBD 170 T5 kit.

Cheers lads, he has the full kit done by Mark late part of 89/ early 90 so hopefully it needs no more work than a new set of rings. Not been near it myself as it just came up in conversation with my brother and he needs no help from me as he's plenty handy enough with the spanners himself. I remembe...

Re: MBD 170 T5 kit.

Cheers Gaz. You've pretty much convinced me I was right in thinking it was a TS 185 piston.

Much appreciated lad.

MBD 170 T5 kit.

Evening lads, asking on behalf of my brother. Story is he's a bought a Poley T5 that we've known all of the ownership since new. He's bought it last year after 20 years of badgering the last couple of owners to part with it. It's now a little tired and not running quite as well as we know it can. Pr...

Re: Kitting old 6v Vespa's?

I seen somewhere else you can get an alloy / nikasil 2 port kit now. Might've even been linked by Ginch now I think of it. Whether it's worth the extra expense I doubt but it gives you an option on the cast iron version. http://www.myscooterparts.co.uk/classic-scooter-vespa-bajaj-lml/pinasco-cylinde...

Re: ScootRS

Don't know but it's high time. Now I don't know the full story so I'm sure someone else can fill in the blanks. My understanding is Randall separated from his wife early part of last year, problem being that Foreigners aren't allowed to own companies over there so it sat in limbo for quite some time...

Re: Px poor running

I think the Polini induction kit and T5 carb are issues here, both give problems. Both together are more than likely compounding things further.

Re: Px poor running

Not off the top of my head but you don't sound miles off on the list. Probably start about 125 on the main and see where you are.

Re: Px poor running

Get shot of Polini ik and use an E. Never known anyone having luck using those and in the same vein the G only seems to work properly with a T5
