I had exactly the same, supposed to be a new SIL engine. Internally it was bloody awful, the barrell & piston looked as though they were covered in grinding paste and there was a lump out of the cylinder head face

Carlos, lights are fine, for a Lambretta, no different to my other scoot which is on standard Indian.

I run a Varitronic on my Imola, good bit of kit, cant fault it really, has the benefit of retarding the ignition at high revs

I use the early box in my Mugello 225, no problems. You cant use the later 3rd gear with the early type xmas tree though

Make sure you have the right banjo bolt. When I fitted mine I replaced the original washers with copper ones but had the same problem. replaced banjo bolt with a slightly shorter one and all was OK

Spoke to the guy at Eletrexword at the classic bike show yesterday, he had a working lambretta electronic kit there, retails at £190 and must say, looked the business. He reckons can get up to 280 watts if wiring on scooter is up to it
