My 198 kit was dynod and setup with 28phbh and 26phbh.

26 came out on top.
That was with expansion chamber. Ports just tidied and matched

40 is smaller cutaway, so less air than the 50 in the same throttle position

its the size in mm from bottom to the top of the cutaway

when you cut the outer, was it a clean cut, is it burred or reduced and dragging on the inner?

I always used the teflon lined cable parts from Venhill, comes in all colours and its smooth as silk

deffo something wrong then, my GP I regularly both hands off adjusting gloves etc LOL, bad habit from big bikes that its far safer on

is the front wheel upright?
are the springs etc in the front the same, no broken or odd things going on, buffers etc correct

I rode bikes and trikes for over 20 years before I got on my first Lambretta, was actually surprised that it was nothing like as bad as I had expected R1 rear shock with correct spring helped it. I loved the contitwist race that I had on mine, yes on so the rear would need replacing quite quick, but...
