Re: Tyre sizes - what are all these numbers about?

The aspect ratio is the percentage of the tyres width, so 90/100 will be 90mm sidewall height and 100/100 will be 100mm sidewall height. Glad you chose a 100mm tyre width otherwise I'd have to get my calculator out. The 100/90 10 would be 100mm wide with a 90mm sidewall height and 10inches inner dia...

Re: Tyre sizes - what are all these numbers about?

As I understand it 90 is the width of the tyre in mm and the 90 or 100 is the aspect ratio or sidewall height. The 53 is the load rating and J is the speed rating in kilometres per hour which is 100.

Could be completely wrong of course

Re: tyre fitting split rims the right way

Nobody has mentioned the use of sealant when running tubes and split rims?
I personally always run sealant in my tubes and see it as an important "safety net" for a split rim set up.

I've always used a spray of this when fitting too. Also use it on my pushbikes.

Re: Having a moan

Don't think I'll be joining the LCGB cult any time soon, to much bullshite and playground politics for me. Out of 5000 members two of them are having a slanging match..........4998 enjoy the LCGB for what it is. LCGB events are one of the best organised events and value for money on the scooter sce...
