Re: A bit boggy - cold weather???
Colder air should not make an engine run richer (boggy) in the winter. The opposite is more likely. Cold air is more dense than hot air and the engine should run leaner. I think your problem may lie elsewhere.

Re: Handlebar choke kit /cooling/tuning aid/engine sa
You need to hold it on Sef. I have one fitted to a VHSH and the choke spring is strong enough for it to return. I give it a thumb full when overtaking lorries in outside lane just for peace of mind.

Thanks for the replies fellas.
I'll start with the 'O' ring and go through the process of elimination.

Rear brake failure. Oil ingress
I've been having trouble with my otherwise perfect working back brake due to oil ingress from the gear box. I've replaced the final drive oil seal 3 times (Rolf seals seated properly) which lasts a few miles until the oil comes through onto the shoes. The bearing is Casa Lambretta with no play. The ...

Re: dellorto vhsb atomisers
I've never had any joy with DP atomisers on my TS1s. Always too rich low down. My best results have been with DQ268s with K21 or K24 needles on my tuned motors (NK Rally pipes). However, my mate runs a DQ262 with a K5 with a PM but this is very rich low down. I currently have a DQ268 with K24 needle...

Re: Lambretta rear shock recommendations
I'm very happy with my Readspeed copy of the BGM rear damper (apparently). Side by side they don't look that alike. However, what I don't like is them sending me a £200 VHSH with same (copy) jetting as my mates TS1. Same carb, same jetting, very different tune and pipe. Dangerously lean at 3/4 throt...

Re: Fitting BGM Engine Mounts
If you run an open mouthed carb on the right side be sure to cover the mount with an aerosol can lid or similar. My right side BGM mount failed on the way back from Davos and made the last days ride really unpleasant. It had only been fitted 1500 miles earlier and was not protected from spitback fro...
