Re: Tyre rubbing on clutch housing
If it is or has been loose it's the hub splines that get damaged, the softest metal will wear first.

Re: Crash Bang Wallop, Nightmare
It's cheap because it's in india. i don't know about LML casing quality ,but i'd be dubious of ordering direct from india, probably be a long wait if nothing else.
You can get new vespa casings from sip for 3-400 quid ,or why not pick some 2nd hand up from a parts fair or ad.

Re: Tyre rubbing on clutch housing
Tyre rub could have been from a flat tyre, a too wide tyre, or a loose hub . Plastic cap could be wrong cap, or hub split pin interfering . Oil could be residue from blowing out of the clutch breather, or spit from an exhaust manifold leak , or 2 stroke from an autolube tank leak ,etc . Not necessar...

Re: Crash Bang Wallop, Nightmare
Throttle sticking or serious airleak, carb ,reed ,manifold area , or main seal failed or didnt go in properly..to test for the seal take the clutch breather off and start it, when it starts revving up put your finger on the hole and see if the revs drop. Obviously it didn't ought to be jumping into ...

Re: Veapa PX engine into Sportique frame?
Is the shock attached at the bottom with it like that? I'm pretty sure it should fit no problem,i've got a super that has had p200 and T5 engines in and out with no probs and the frame is not really much different at all. So you may have to get it in by lifting it up evenly front and back to get the...

Re: P200 Stator Wire Colours
The green which comes out of the loom doesn't go to the stator it goes to the cdi ,is the switch wire.
As has been said the cdi earth isn't really a problem but if you're worried can solder a bit of wire to or around a drawing pin and push it into the 'stump' or hole left by the lost earth wire.

Re: Backfire.
I had one from sip , but it was about 10 years ago so i don't know if they'll still do one. it just ran off the regulator output with no need for a battery.

You can buy 12v fuel pumps that you don't need to drill the case to fit.

Re: Chassis
Sorry to disagree , powdercoat is hardy but will also harbour moisture entering through hidden cracks and you won't see it rusting underneath the coating till it's too late. I've done a couple of rallys and used products like waxoyl , dinitrol or ankor wax. They need to be coated in all the crevices...
