Hill Climb Events?
Hey everyone, i used to go scooter racing with my good friend Tim back in the late 80s and we had a real blast. My fondest memories were not of the actual racing but the hill climb events. I can't recall where we would drive up to [from Norwich] but these hill climbs were just the best in terms of f...

Re: GP vibration.
Yup, check your engine mounts also, might be perishing.
And check nothing else has unscrewed itself [Lambretta speciality], floor boards are a prime candidate for this and it can feel like the bikes about to rattle itself apart.

Re: Damaged Stop on forks
Good work!! I did the exact same thing recently on my frame breather build. I needed the stop on the forks [S2] extending, i simply migged a line and ground the face back flat, job done and it is very stable. Remember weld is actually considerably harder than the steel its on, case hardened in fact ...

Re: Clubman exhaust recommendations?
Essentially all good advice except i'd suggest that a clubman will improve the torque ever so slightly rather than any acceleration and/or top speed. I don't like the AF under kick start clubman at all. They seem to make the engine vibrate excessively, a VW reverse pipe clubman [again AF] is totally...

Re: My S Type Long Term Build
Utterly beautiful!
I just welded a frame loop back onto a frame breather i am doing and i really appreciate the work thats gone into this build, especially at the initial steel working stage.
Total stunner, tell us about the engine [250!! ] Love it and warmest from London..

Re: Starting Problems
Hey Blenks, sounds like the filter is the culprit. Good work and do post back. If you set the carb up to 'run' with a filter then you might wanna richen the mixture a bit as it will probably be set a little lean. That said if the thing runs and starts fine without adjusting the carb then leave well ...

Re: what wire goes where?
Hey Nick, I am so unsure of DC systems [never had a working one on a Lambretta] any chance of posting pics? Faced with this sort of dilemma i'd usually go through all options [regardless of color] until you get what you are looking for in terms of what does what and when [switch positions]. Sounds l...
