Re: Which gearbox?
so what your saying is your gap between 2nd and 3rd gear is too big, gp 200 boxes are like that, its very noticable changing down as well, thats why a close ratio box will solve your problem. 3rd and 4th gear are just the same as you have now, the diffrence being that first gear is a lot higher, so ...

Re: Lambretta Rossa for sale on Ebay
Yes I had already seen it,looks a little rough, suppose it's a bit of scootering history, did you get hold of your pro shift and have you fitted it yet,I've done over 100 miles now and everything seems perfect, only issue is I still have a job getting it in neutral when the engines running, not a pr...

Re: water cooled twin
quick update, got my stator plate back from rexs speed shop, the low speed coil was goosed, they rewound it, 75 pounds plus vat, got it fitted, and what a diffrence, it starts better, runs much cleaner, and it revs out cleanly with bags of torque and no stuttering or missfiring. my mate andy dropped...

Re: Which gearbox?
the best gearbox is a close ratio box, i bought one off joe who did the last post(thanks joe) you end up with a long first gear, then all the gears are quite close together, keeps you in the powerband when changing up, also better on the downchange, you lose the big diffrence between 3rd and second ...

Re: water cooled twin
just a quick update, has been running rough on and off for a while, improved it by re-jetting and adusting carbs, but still not quite right, anyway ive sent my stator off to have it rewound and with a little luck that should sort things out running wise. my new secondry fuel tank is away been tigged...

Re: ts1 best gearbox ?
i guess you bought the close ratio box off joe, good choice, you might have to experiment with sprockets to get your best top end, and your first gear will be quite long, after that you will love this type of box, helps you to keep in the powerband when changing up, and no big ratio jump when changi...

Re: Stator/CDI issue
check the earth tags on the stator plate they are peined over and can work loose, i solder them to the backplate for a perfect connection.

Re: water cooled twin
ive been thinking about the need for more fuel, i dont want fuel in the glovebox, so i decided to put it under the side panel, i was thinking along the lines of the oil bottle carriers, the very thing i house my battery in. first thing was to move my battery box down and further back, to create some...
