The best thing you can do is buy the Vespa engine rebuild DVD for about £25. Believe me it will be the best £25 you will ever spend

Is a 62 mm possible with a bit of machining I know its quite common on a Lambretta casing but can it be done to a Vespa casing?

M1XL and the M1x are quite different as carb and manifold positioning on each is completely different as are the port timings. On the M1X like Tony's the manifold fits to standard crankcase inlet with the carb facing forward and positioned over the barrel. The M1XL is the opposite with the inlet man...
