Recently fitted one on my P2 and had the same problem, I cut the cage off and had to elongate the holes to get a bolt through, worst than that though, my new SIP 2 came with a hole in it, I email SIP over a month ago but have had no reply, they appear to be cocking a deaf un.

Iam picking one up tomorrow & wondered if anyone had any regrets or tips to share, it'll be going on standard crank, carb, & clutch, but with a SIP Road 2, cheers.

Just ordered a richer idle Martin, I,v just read your post about you flywheel side oil seal leaking, did you have to buy a flywheel holding tool and puller to change it or is the another way of getting the flywheel off.

Martin, did you have to buy flywheel holding tool and puller to change the seal, or did you find another way.

On other forums iam reading conflicting information, iam running lean at 1/4 throttle and iam changing idle jet to try and correct, some have told me I wont be on the main at 1/4 throttle so the idle jet is the way to go, others tell me that on this carb the main jet is used all through the rev rang...

Just as a guide, i use Nippon Denso 27 [which is a NGK 9] in my RB and would in any engine thats run hard, i even used a 31 for a while to see if it oil,d up at low speed, which it didnt. In my Mugello i use a Denso 24, same as a NGK 8.

Ive had a couple NGKs fail for no good reason, i was told the chinese are making fakes, wether that is true or not i dont know, but after switching to Nippon Denso,s i,v had no problems.

I couldnt find a decent speedo for my series 2, i tried a few and all were crap, i end,d up altering a GP speedo [which work,d fine] and makeing it fit into a series 2 houseing, been running that for a couple of years now but even that went tits up going to the York do last weekend .
