Re: Black series 3 trim?
>>the heads of the screws you use are round and in some cases could not be tightened up. This is a flaw that you need to look at Already fixed. Stock was all melted down and redone many months back, as soon as I found out the specified bolt heads weren't used. (They were round with a nut and it wou...

Re: Black series 3 trim?
Look in the 1970's Original workshop manual, (the one with the plastic spine); lo and behold there is a photo of an SX with, wait for it, BLACK TRIM! Yet, if you talk to some Lambretta Know It All's they will claim, as you suggest, that SIII's only ever had GREY trim parts. For me, I think the SX l...

Re: another resto on the way
How did you overcome the problem of the S2 kick start with the later side casing?

Re: Prototype S2?
You're right. I think it's only the engine mountings that are modified basically.

Re: Prototype S2?
I thought much the same, but apparently the battery tray bolts on to it somehow. If it was an innovation I can see how it might not have been practical and quickly forgotten.

Prototype S2?
Here's a strange one. Some of you may have seen photos of this before. But, for those that haven't I'll explain. It's a S2 frame, but not as we know it. There is something strange going on with the battery tray and what appears to be a novel form of engine mount. Quite what the purpose of these inno...

Re: ****Italian or Indian? (pics)****
If I recall there did indeed appear to be square and rounded variations be they Italian or Indian leg shields. One theory was that it was the way in which they were stacked and the ones on the bottom being flatter. Although, I think it's highly likely that they used more than one press and there may...

Giuliari Seat - Original or Remade?
Dug this out yesterday. Never got on with it as it was so bloody uncomfortable. I'm not sure of its origins though. It is stamped Giuliari, as you can see, but I don't think I've ever seen one stamped there before. There is some evidence of corrosion, so it could be old. I'm just not sure. What do y...
