Re: The last Thing, it's really stiff
Bilko, some thoughts, the bottom steel has the ears bent up, is the friction area still fully flat? I use a Bedspeed, modded /welded, deep pressure plate and a Foxhat spider to get a working 6 plate clutch with the crown wheel like yours, you can't be that far off, it must just be a detail modificat...

Re: The last Thing, it's really stiff
Don't know if this will help, might be worth a try. I tried running a 6 plate clutch with just 1 mm clearance between the plates when compressed but it wasn't enough to get a clean disengage for changing gear, so I increased the clearance to 1.5mm with a thinner top plate and it now works ok, still ...

Re: Help needed tm 24
Never could stop my TM 24 draining fuel out of the overflow, checked float level and plunger sealing, no better, got down to 5 mpl at one point, might have been the mounting system but junked the Mikuni this last weekend, fitted a 30mm PWK for improved fuel consumption, lol, just waiting for a load ...

Re: Needle machining?
Try Allens Performance, http://www.allensperformance.co.uk/ Steve was developing a specialist lathe just for needles, haven't spoken for a while, don't know if it came to anything.

Re: tm24 set up
Just been for a not so gentle 30 miles this morning, the Q-2 made no noticeable difference so back with the Q-0 and raise the needle another notch, plus heat gain during a full throttle run shows the main needs to go to 195, lost all lighting and horn too, but that's a different matter. Good fun but...

Re: tm24 set up
Agree with cezeta about the air flow with this type of filter, had to upjet mine after fitting one and new barrel kit, using the S/C version with 45mm opening and the filter is oiled. Just about finished setting the jetting on my TM 24 on an RT 220 with PM 25 Ev, currently running 15 pilot, air scre...

Re: Which Fuel filter?
Dazza, Cottage Lambretta do a chrome/glass inline fuel filter @ £10, a mate picked me one up from Wickstead, looks Ok but fairly large, using it with a rear exit fast flow tap on a standard tank with a TM 24 with 190 main, no fuel supply problems encountered so far.

Re: SIL200, Ancilotti Clubman, Mikuni TM24 - jetting?
If the 4DH7 needle doesn't work, mine cut dead at every attempt to run it, try a 5N13-2 (-2 referes to the 2nd clip position) All else as suggested but final test the main with plug chops.

Re: foam filter options
Mick, might be worth seeing if Corrado's got this style in, http://www.scooter-center.com/scoweb/pages/productdetail.grid fits onto my TM 24 with MB mainfold and leaves about 10mm clearance to the GP panel, induction noise is loud though :D and lack of 'bellows' must give a smoother flow, other than...
