Re: Building RB20 engine
Well i drove my RB22 from Ghent in belgium to Lincoln in England (Gent- zeebrugge/ hull- lincoln)on one standard lambretta tank of fuel, and even on long fast runs i was getting around 70 miles to a tank and thats with a 35TMX and franspeed race. I thought the original question was for advice from p...

Re: Building RB20 engine
Components like gearbox / sprockets and exhaust depend on your type of riding but taking into account that it's primarily a high revving engine that should still produce decent power as high as 9,000 rpm then I'd be looking at components that will bring the best out of the kit, like a close ratio g...

Re: Series 2 Coil
Hi Ben.
Its not an NOS bottle coil but its a self earthing coil. Bolt it on and it is earthed already and should work fine. I always replace ancient and unreliable bottle type coils with this type (although i prefer the blue ducati type) on points systems.

Re: Centralising a ScootRS disc brake.
I think that i heard somewhere that a innocenti disc spindle helps to cure this, know anything about that?
I've just sold my other bike which had a late type scootRS disc on it and it was fine, i wish i'd had a look to see what the difference was before i let it go!!

Centralising a ScootRS disc brake.
I've got an early type scootRS (not sterling) disc brake, its a very early one that i bought from them about five or six years ago. When fitted it won't sit centrally in the fork which i'm led to believe was a problem on the early discs from them. This leaves the front wheel out of line with the bac...

Re: SIP Tubeless wheel rims
my local piaggio dealer fitted mine with Conti twists and told me that there were no problems. So far so good with the rims though. A bit wider than standard so check that your pipe will still fit on a vespa. Mine are on a vespa, so i can't comment on the Lambretta type but they are beautiful and se...

Re: ts1 fuel %
I run 4% Denicol synth 100 kart racing oil in my RB, there is no build up of carbon, no oily tailcan, no wear on the lining and no wear on the big end. 3000 hard kilometers later.

Re: Tubeless Rims
I just fitted a set of SIP tubeless to my Vespa and the quality is outstanding, my local scooter shop also said that there were zero problems fitting them and taking them off (i asked them beforehand to see if it would be difficult). I will certainly putting these on my lambrettas when they come out.
