I’m now leaning toward the casa m/s shaft & octopus hub set-up... I hadn’t really considered it initially, due to the cost of the kit - but as I also need a new hub, bearing, seal, etc to go with new layshaft... and having priced up ‘decent quality’ components from different suppliers, the octop...

I’m looking at new layshafts for a new engine build & there’s a few different re-made ones out there and at vastly differing prices... So which one is considered ‘the best’ for a tuned engine (and which ones are to be avoided)? The Casa one looks decent @ around £75 - as does the MB one but that...

You can achieve pretty much all of this using a p200 case, Polini 210 ali/nicasil kit with 60mm crank, a 28 or 30mm carb & 24/63 up gear kit... Reliable early 20’s hp & similar torque figure... low revving & torque laden, making power from just over 3k rpm & peaking @ 6.5k... will cr...
