Re: ts 185 conversion
I've not long done one..I used a 25 quid khc piston off eBay.I gave it 0.003 thou clearance and used a 2mm packer that's with the TV rod.the head will need a reprofile to suit the flatter piston crown,I did my own so not sure on cost.

Ive used a khc fleabay ts185 25quid piston..i went straight to 65mm.you do need a 2mm packer with a 116 rod and a reprofiled head.pulls the tv box lovly.i combined mine with a reamed out 20mm std carb to 21.5 but kept the innocenti exhaust.

That's about 4.7 ratio..if you have the torque I can't see why not....I've just kept mine at 5.0 with a pacemaker,if I lower it any more first gear becomes a pain off the mark..or it least it was when I ran it at 4.4 with my ads3

Re: Reedvalve - any suggestions for a smallblock?
I run two motors with the mb one and happy with them.there are atomic and lth too but I have no experience with either of them.piston requires windows cutting into it as a minimum requirement..I also cut a boost port into the barrel but apparently that's not necessary

Re: Saigon Taffy
I run one on a similar set up on an iron 200 reed.I've kept to a 5.0 final drive with a pacemaker box, probably you could run lower but I'm happy with the all round performance of it,quite too.only thing I've modified is to make my own tail can bracket from the rear shock mount as I didn't like the s...

Re: CONROD LUBE!!!!!!!!!!
I'd ask myself the question what a repair to your top end would cost.if your running a cheap piston in an iron barrel give it a go...if your running a racetour piston in a ts1..why take the chance,I must add what end float have you got...looks tight to me...and you haven't used shims?
