Re: 200 Engine With T5 4th Gear?
You won't notice any slower top speed becuase P2s are relatively tall geared. On the dyno you could hold one open and it would do 80 plus eventually. You can't rev them out on the road which is why sometimes they do reach very good top speeds. This then becomes the pub bragging speed of the bike and ...

Re: Franspeed Race on a standard TS1 225
To be fair the JL4 suffered clearance and cracking issues but haven't had the same with the Franspeed race. What I have had is a wide range of varying shock lengths which is something Andy can't really do anything about. Couple in badly set up shocks and then off set engine cones and you can see the...

Re: Long stroke conversion
Unless you are using a reed none that I know of. You will either have to machine a groove in the case(best) or machine the lip off a p2 crank. Best machine groove because then you can port a much wider inlet. You can get 62mm by using eccentic DRT pin. If reed SIP do a 60 that goes straight in with ...

Good clutches. Easy fit and no problems with the Surflex or indian copies we've fitted.

Re: What gain is there from changing a 130 to 140 rear on GT
Think it really boils down to weight. One of my clubmates runs this set up as she is light and can hit the rev limiter fairly easily. The bigger tyre stops this and allows a higher top speed. The benifit would i'm sure be negated by habitual pie eaters or regularly traveling two up with the Mrs(who ...
