Re: Jumping out of 4th gear.
Hey make sure you don't have cable gators (rubber covers) on exposed gear cable near the case. they bunch up and never had much use for those things anyway. also make sure the selector arm is adjusted properly. if not it can keep the ball bearing selector in the layshaft from fully seating in place....

Hey be careful in changing the center taper of electronic flywheel! if the rivits were loose your rivit holes may be ovaled and are all jacked up. just a warning.

Re: Has Lambretta tuning really moved on over the past 20 ye
I acheive decent torque with a moderate sized performance carb, good flow tuning on the barrel ports, mid range expansion pipe and solid spark. theirs alot more involved but it's a good place to start. for me scooter tuning is about getting from 0 to 75 mph as fast as possible and with out exploding...

Re: Has Lambretta tuning really moved on over the past 20 ye
haven't tried any kits that have come out in the last 10 years but the 80mph my ts1 pulls is plenty for me! always looking for more torque and better brakes but even my Italian 185 tv175 kit pulls some decent speed. the holy grail is more torque!

Re: li/tv kickstart shaft?
bought some indian ones years ago that seemed good but recently put them to use and they aren't. i've bent two. one on my 185 wiesco and now one on my tuned tv 200. getting to be a real pain. so i thought there might be some alternatives.

Re: li/tv kickstart shaft?
Hey doom
im talking about the kickstart shaft not the lever. it keeps bending between the case and first gear. hope that makes sense. im wondering if there is a good upgraded one for a tuned (higher compression) motor?
