having used a 3legged glaze buster on the barrel to take some light score marks out I have then checked the rings down the bore from top to bottom with correct ring clearance, i shone a light down the bore at the same time just to see if there was any light between ring and bore but all is ok so wha...

thanks for the replys,as for assuming a cheap piston which is prob correct but I`ve had the same troubles with a peg coming out of an asso piston and messing up my top end up after it had been sorted to 14.65bhp..

piston ring peg
just rebuilding a mates scooter gp200 engine and noticed that the top ring pin is no were near out as far as the bottom ring pin.
what options do I have ? new hole put in,Or a new pin put in, Its just a std indian top end.

What is the best solution to use with the three legged buster on the cylinder,

just check that the handle part of the petrol tap what you get hold of to turn it on is not slipping on the shaft,it happened to me last year thought i`d turned it on to full but when going down the road for about 600yrds it stopped wondered what was the cause was by that time it had filled up again...
