Re: nology hotwire.......

There was a thread on here a while back about something similar http://scooterotica.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=10913&hilit=spark+magnifier I made one and fitted it and I'm convinced it's made a difference, much smoother pick up all the way through the revs. A damn sight cheaper than the h...

Re: Help re Malossi Pipe issue

Is the pipe falling off from the exhaust stub or are you on about the main engine bolt? And don't talk to me about VE, had a "chat" with one of them after a VE supplied crank snapped having done 150 miles, "never seen that before, you must've fitted it wrong, are you a Vespa trained m...

Re: Dog of a kit!!!

Aye kid, it's the full Pinasco kit, barrel, piston and head.
Like I said I know standard P2's have quite a big squish but seriously this has got to be at least 4 to 5mm.
He's been in touch today and said it ran a lot better after a tinker last night but I'm just wondering has anyone set one up sweet?

Dog of a kit!!!

A mate of mine has just, in his wisdom, purchased a second hand Pinasco kit for his P2, fitted it and is now complaining that it runs like a sack of spuds. Tried to check the squish last night and discovered that I could fit my couch in there so can only presume it's meant to be running a 60mm crank...

Re: T5

So it's a PX.
It may have been a T5 Classic at some stage mate but if it's got a Malossi 166 kit on it then it's definitely a PX motor.

Re: T5

Just had a scan and apparently Pinasco did a 162 kit so it's probably that.

Re: air fuel ratio on the dyno

This one could go on forever with no definitive resolution, however I think we've gone slightly off topic.............

When carrying out your comparisons are the final figures given in thick Lincolns or skinny chipolatas, and where exactly would a cocktail sausage fit into the equasion?

Merry Xmas

Re: T5 Mk 1 headset locking ring

That's just a tab washer mate, once everything is tightened down you indent it to stop the nuts coming loose. A bit of loctite on the securing nuts does more or less the same job.
