Can anyone tell me how soon the kickstart plunger should engage with first gear when the kickstart is pressed down? I've fitted an li type endplate and ramp and am trying to adjust the ramp. The engine is not yet in the scoot, so wonder if it needs to be to set it up properly.
Thanks.

Bet mines bigger than yours!
In real terms on the road, what differerence would you notice, or see, in a head squish of 1.45ish to 1.2?
Thanks.

Re: Early pacemaker gearbox.
So, are you saying that by replacing third gear from ,say a 39 tooth sx150 gearbox, this will solve the potential problem?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Early pacemaker gearbox.
Probably a daft question (so please don't ask me why I asked it),but is there any way that an early pacemaker gearbox can be used in a tuned engine? I.e. using a different third gear? I understand this is the weak point?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Head gasket or packing plate?
I'm trying to set up the squish on my ts1 barrel and don't know which way to go.Crank has 110 mm rod, so with a 3mm packer plate and no head gasket, the squish is about 0.9mm. What would be the best way to get the squish about right? Either fit a base gasket, which is about 0.5mm or use a thin head ...

It's doing me (ts1) head in.
Trying to set the squish up on a ts1 engine.Got some 2mm solder to check it with, so how much force do you apply? Also, what is the general opinion of the correct squish for a road going scooter?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Mikuni manifold rubber.
Would I be right in saying that using car radiator type hose is better than using the rubber that comes with the carb (35mm), even though the origonal has a ring that sits in the manifold?
Thanks.
Thanks.
