Maybe not that bad a gearbox but not the best for what you want to use it in. ? but they can fetch a good price

Dont fit a fuse and which ever wire starts to smoke, then thats where the fault is.

I Had one in 85 which looked similar a local lad did it for me. Was fairly quick and reliable.

Is it for a Suzuki piston, with barrel topped & tailed. ?
Inlet looks about 25mm high.

Engine number and cc But the insurance company will need to know the modifications or you won't be fully covered.

U can get rubber grease it's meant for lubing rubber bits and shouldn't damage the rubber, I've used it on mine.
Can't remember the name on the tin but it's red stuff and I think I got it from Halfords.
