Checked choke and its ok, still no start........

Yes, using the TDC tool turned the flywheel one way then the other. Then used timing disc to find the centre of the two points. Followed the process as on Scooter Techniques lambretta engine rebuild DVD. Been told to pour a thimble full of petrol down the spark plug hole and try to kick over, this h...

Right, set the plug to 0.5 - 0.6mm as recommended in stickys book page 29.
Still no start...

Timing set with TDC tool and timing disc, then when arrow on outer edge of flywheel lined up 19 degrees I adjusted the pick up on the stator plate to match the marks on the inner flywheel.

have you timed it the right side of top dead center ,as you look at stator engine tuirns clockwise , :roll: Yes , marked TDC then marked 19 degrees from the left of TDC which is anti-clockwise.. 'try closing the gap on the plug then try it' What gap does it have to be :?: , its a brand new plug so ...

Brand new plug, which I have swapped with another brand new plug and checked...

electronic ignition, timing done with TDC tool and timing disc by myself...

had many similar problems myself - the one that took me the longest to figure out was a blocked exhaust. if plug is wet and spark looks good - maybe worth checking. Plug is wet after kicking over several times, I'll check the exhaust tonight and report back could be excess oil in cylinder after reb...

Plug is wet after kicking over several times, I'll check the exhaust tonight and report back
