Re: Mugello 240 ??

Another quick question, which I may already have missed comment on... I don't suppose that you're running an advance/retard ignition are you? I ask as this could also explain why the bike is running hot at running in revs in 4th but cools when you down-change and/or 'give it some (an advance/retard ...

Re: Mugello 240 ??

I use Mugellos, as well as Avanti and others but know others that use GT kits with zero reliability issues. Be wary of swapping one kit for another if the problem is elsewhere, otherwise you may well find the next kit does exactly the same.

Re: Imola gearing

As Holty has said, gear requirement will go hand in hand with pipe choice... and pipe choice will need to go hand in hand with how you like to ride / what you intend to use it for. Without more details it is very hard to give you any advice that would be worth listening to. An Imola with a revvy pip...

Re: Clubman on GT186 - Ex Box?

I've no experience of the TSR but TBH that rev range is quite normal, even low compared to what the Fran Race will do... but much of that goes hand in hand with the porting spec of the kit it is used on. Much of this depends on what the individual feels is excessive when out on the open road I perso...

Re: Clubman on GT186 - Ex Box?

^... soz, how easily I get off topic!!! Apply the above to the Ex Box and it'll take you somewhere between the standard spec and the upper range of BHP return (realms of expansions). I've experience of this pipe and it fits in nicely between where other clubmans hit a rev limit and those that deafen...

Re: Clubman on GT186 - Ex Box?

^... the fact that you've grasped enough of the concept to be querying it is a good sign, and I mean that genuinely. More is more... but not at the cost of having less at other points along the graph's bottom axis. If you could get more across the whole graph then you're doing something very right. ...

Re: BGM front dampers, too short....

I've recently had some mounts welded onto 150 forks and the quoted measurement has put them slightly too high, as per your photo. I've got standard S3 shocks and they'll open up long enough to fit but you can see that they're open slightly too far because of a pressing/ring that is in clear sight, w...
