Re: SIP Lambretta Digital Speedo
I've fitted mine under the backbone using velcro. Very easy to reach the stator wires if you run a wassel.

Re: Thirsty TV175
The casa ignition is like the Varitronic. It is set at 23 degrees at tick over, it retards to approx. 15 degrees at full throttle. If it makes sense I can adjust it a little more, could such a minor adjustment have such an impact? Yes. Two degrees are not a minor adjustment. In fact is the differen...

Re: Electrex ignition wiring
Since you are going to use a battery, wouldn't be better using a wassel regulator? You just would only have to replace your AC horn for a DC one and run the rest of things from the battery.

Re: Thirsty TV175
Isn't the casa lambretta ignition like the varitronic? If it is, then the advance at idle must be set at 25º since it retards about eight degrees when reving. As Brystolmod has already said, I'd check the timming.

Re: Electrex ignition wiring
Thinking about it. If the regulator has a full wave rectifier, then both yelow wires must go to the regulator (like in a wassel ). Then the exit port of the regulator would go to the battery. Check what kind of regulator is yours.

Re: Electrex ignition wiring
If you use an AC regulator or a DC half wave rectifier, you must conect the second yelow wire to earth (frame).

I have a GT 186 and do recommend it as a touring kit. Iron barrell, standard look...I love it.

Re: connecting a battery charger to a loom to test eletrics
I guess that if you want to test everything you must conect the positive to brown, pink and purple from the loom and negative to the frame.

Re: What Key switch are you DC conversion guys running ?
I know that is how it should be...the diodes inside the rectifier should isolate the battery, but always had problems when not using the scooter for a long time (that was before the wassel), so I decided isolating the battery aniway.
