Rich, I'd like to go for a longer conrod for my GT186. I have a 25 dellorto ,16-46 primary drive, BGM bigbox V2 exhaust. Would the 60 stroke 110 conrod mean any improvement on the kit? Does the use of a 60 stroke 115 conrod with 8mm packer mean a big loss in primary compression?

BGM stator,wassell rectifier, lightened indian flywheel and kheper CDI. Far better than my old varitronic.

Mine didn't work finw tiil I used an "R" plug (with normal cap). I use a wassell with battery and take the rpm info from one of the yellow wires from the stator. If you check the innstructions you'll see how to check if the AC wire from which you are taking the rpm info is good enough by u...

Ok. In this sistem the switch earths the horn when you press the horn switch. There is a metalic piece underneath the metalic cover that touches a contact when you press the horn switch. Remove this cover and leave the rest of the switch mechanism in its place and see what happens.

I think in a varitronic you don't have an LT coil like in a Ducati sistem. All the stator coils are involved in lighting and ignition. The varitronic is the only ignition that made me feel happy two times: the first time when I bought it, and the second time when I sold it...now I run a BGM ignition...

Thanks for the advice Byron and Rosscla. Soulsurfer,mine is a GT186 too. With a BGM bigbox V2 exhaust and a BGM ignition with a Khepper programmable CDI. I use a standard airbox W/O strangle neck and a BGM metalic air filter. What are your carb settings,please? Thanks again for your replies! r Just...
