You've got that totally wrong Burnside. That is nothing to do with Dating letters, V765 is for the retention of old Reg' No's with proof and inspection which LCGB and BLA are authorised to do. BLOA can not do that. Anyone with Factory records can issue Dating letters. Gotcha, thanks for clarifying....

a grown up may come along with the correct answer but my understanding was it would have to be re registered if you don't know the registration number For a Classic Scooter that would be correct however as I don't know what a V100 is I cannot confirm to the above. For a Classic Scooter that would be correct however as I don't know what a V100 is I cannot confirm to the above.

Any "reputable" engineer would only write a report for you if they were absolutely sure it was a 125 otherwise it could be classed as fraudulent. Insurance companies must be made aware of ANY changes to the CC of a vehicle otherwise they will void the insurance in the event of a claim. So...
