slightly proud is ok,
dont hit anymore, as you run the risk of busting off where the oil-seal seats m8

Yep had it on a perfectly looking 200 barrel yrs ago, not 2-bad on compression

I haven't, but I have fitted one to my Lambretta. I used a thumb operated lever from a Yamaha FZR600, fitted to the LHS. This way, the writing on the choke lever is the correct way up. :D The advantage of this type of choke lever is that it has a friction setting, so you can feed in a bit of choke ...
