I did actually but then the moment passed and I settled down to my pie n chips.
Its OK for you skinny fellas but i need all the weight saving help i can get.

Just another angle ........why not mount a fan, say computer sized, to force air directly over the exhaust cowl exit area. The power for which could be fed from say the nearby brake switch permanent live? It would make sense to use the large cowl retaining bolt as the fixing for this bracket and act...

steel or fibreglass engine cowlings?
Have the choice of either but am trying to fit as much weight saving fibreglass to my new S1 so was wondering what difference to cooling fitting the fg cowling items would make. Im assuming that the flywheel cowling isn't an issue but what about the cylinder cowling - how important a role, being mad...

The Ducati CDI boxes are the best to fit.........just check, it should say so on the unit. If you haven't got one fitted I'd try this first.
Also bypass the Augusto just to check that this isn't causing the issue.
