lightened fly wheel yes or no??
I am going to re build my tv 175 motor with g.p crank etc,my question is do i need to go for a lightened flywheel ,i hear heavy wheels rob power,any thoughts please?.

The timing on this scooter and marks has been se up correctly. The TDC mark was set up with the head off. and set up more accurately with the tool that goes in spark plug hole and a timing disc. The engine runs reasonably well with a 22mm carb. But using such would inhibit the performance....The pic...

Sorry yes i set it with a timing disc to 17" ,this bloody thing is a complete pig to start ,even when it runs it spits fuel & splutters to a halt ,mate is so pi**** off with it .He did do a bit of port timing took off 1mm on inlet i think :shock: ,would this make it not want to run ,sr 175 ...

The mark on the flywheel lined up with the 2 white lines on the pick up,then it went all over the shop ,the marks appeared at the top if that makes sense ,that was when at quite low rpm ,weird ??

Mate is having problem after problem with his indian gp 175, we had it running ,checked timing ,the readings were near 17' ,then the strobe had the marks at top near silent block all over the place.He bought one of these cheap £80 electronic kits ,dont like the idea of these cheap kits ,anybody had ...

Mate has bought a 26mm phbl carb ,what is the difference between this & a phbh26 carb ,it is for a sr 175 cylinder ?.
