as long as you dont buy a piston with a cut skirt on the inlet side it should be ok, sounds like a stage 4 barrel, is the exhaust port wider and higher too ?

i use the barrel, that way both the surfaces are the same, the top of the barrel needs to be flat too so why only do the head

a mate of mine bought an indian 200 motor, minus pipe and carb and inlet manifold, now stamped on the motor is tv200 (no more info at this point), so he buys a 200 carb and inlet manifold but the manifold doesnt fit as the stud spacings on the barrel are for a 125/150/175 manifold, i vaguely remembe...

im using a franz, as im sure you know the fella that makes them is a bit of a rotary inlet freak so it works well, nice spread of power with a hefty kick up the arse at 6500, revving out to 9500+

on the smallframe its easy to open it before, so the inlet is open the same time as the transfers, on mine i run 140 BTDC and 75ATDC, tho id say you would need a pipe to take advantage of all the ports being open

you can get inline switches that clamp around the rear brake cable, a little less heath, but supposed to be a bit hilary (it swank), lots of old british stuff had to be retrofitted with a brake light, i also have to come up with a solution for this on a chop
