Re: BGM Clubman - version 3

If you leave it bare it will rust.
I paint mine once a year with silver heat resistant paint, it still rusts but its easily removed.

I had mine on a Rapido 225 and it didn't cause overheating problems.

Re: Bogging Down , Won't Pull Away.

Have you checked your timing.
The timing marks on my flywheel/stator combination have a 3 degrees Difference between static and strobed.
Good luck, hope you make it to Scarborough.

Re: GT200, What exhaust

I find it ineresting that this question is asked over and over again yet I never seem to see any mention of the GT set up guide, which provides good solid advice on setting the GT kit to your needs. Although it does seem like there is a market for a super clubman that will work with Avanti/GT and ot...

Re: Rapido Race 225, jetting

If you have a look at MB's cylinder tuning article he gives some reasons why the Rapido has flat spots, mine has a flat spot at around 5000rpm. I never managed to get mine to run well at low revs and around town, it's always happier revving a bit, fast A roads where you can keep the speed and revs u...

Re: Running in a Rapido 225 Race

Drop AF a line and they will advise you on their recommendations. Oil 4%, first 100miles short bursts 10-15 miles round town, no more than 30 mph-ish, varying the revs and speed, didn't let the engine labour or rev too high. Can't remember the exact figures beyond that but it was done in 2x200 mile ...

Re: Renewal

Try Peter James.
I change to them last year from Carol Nash
Not because their policy was significantly cheaper or better.
Just £17 for a change as opposed to £40.

PM tuning in morecambe.
I have had both mine done there
thrashed and abused, still not blown up so I can only conclude that they got it right.
