Re: Perfected technique to save a crank bearing race

I can offer the tip to never try to turn the race when getting it off. Pull it straight off. If you twist it, it can score and this effectively locks it in place.

Re: LI125 With Scootopia 185cc kit

Check the inside of the float bowl for any casting obstructions that might affect the float and file them down with a small file. Other possibilities are blockage from rust in your tank. Pull the pipe off the carb and check there's a continuous flow of fuel. You say some fuel came out but this could...

Then I wondered how high a cliff has to be for my scooter to go faster than it already does. So here are the calcs. Some assumptions - no air resistance as ...

Re: Daily touring mileage

What about 2 Stroke oil? Is it recommended to carry it all from home or is it plentiful in France, and Italy? I imagine it's OK in Italy, but what about France?

Re: Daily touring mileage

I met a guy in Italy last year who had ridden from Brighton (to Livorno, near Pisa), about 900 miles. He said he had qualified for the 1000miles in 24 hours challenge. I suppose technically it's feasible on a Lambretta! So, 150 miles for a good day, 200 miles for a slog? It's about 150 miles from he...
