Just been to Halfords to get some carb cleaner for the car and looked at the grease section.....pots of grease in white plastic containers....states on the pot what is in it... CL...LM etc. doesn`t give a clue what the different types are used for....although on here we know, how do the public know...

I used Castrol LM in mine, did I do a bad thing Its done a few k now, not a smooth as it was

I don't carry half that stuff but I do cary a multi tester and a spare CDI and regulator. LED rear lamp so don't need one of those. That's for scooting around locally (within 50 mile radius), if I was going further I'd probably suplement the above. Agree that the flywheel puller isn't a lot of use w...

It could be running weak or rich at mid throttle, try putting the choke on when it is struggling, if it get worse then its too rich and if it improves then its too weak. You could alss try doing a plug chop at the throttle position where the hesitation sets in and see what colour electrode you get.

I believe your taper is the reason why you run a higher main jet that most other folks_____your GJH is the same as the "standard" JJH in terms of diameter and length, but you have a leaner taper. As the taper kicks in just before you go onto main, the bigger main is compensating for the l...

I wasm looking at a post on here or the lcgb site recently on this very subject. Some dealers have a shoe trimming tool for profiling new shoes. The DIY method is to file away the high spots with a rasp or similar using chalk to indicate high spots. Takes time but does work apperently. I need to do ...

No Paul, it was from the German outfit http://www.lambretta-teile.de/. If you filter is getting soaked with petrol then it might be that the petrol is evaporating and leaving the 2 stroke ol in the element and blocking the air flow.
