Re: SCOOTOPIA IGNITION SWITCH PROBLEM

Glad you sorted it and also glad you did ring them, most don't ring dealers about issues, they just use the internet as a battering ram.
Hope it hasn't put you off their products :-)

Re: SCOOTOPIA IGNITION SWITCH PROBLEM

Not advertised as Italian, not made out to be Italian and not sold as Italian, (w@nk3r smilie)
Its sold as a good reproduction switch, which is exactly what it is.

Re: SCOOTOPIA IGNITION SWITCH PROBLEM

I use loads of these and have no problems.
Have you powered up the purple wire?
Connect into the brown feeds and that should fix your problems.

Re: Indian series 2 leg shields

Personally, £20 tops, as they are useless on anything other than a API.
Unless you get the early Italian style ones, different in a few ways but wirth a bit more.
Sorry, that doesn't really help much :-D

Re: Vega starting problem

Hi, I´ve had a complete stock original Vega in the garage for a couple of years now. It had a mushy kickstart when I bought it and I thought the clutch is gone. So I got new plates and springs and installed them. Even after that when I kick it it only turns the crank the first few kicks, after that...

Re: Vespa LX150 Auto will not start...

The main fuse is by the battery as per a PX, then the buggers hide another one away and don't mention it anywhere. After checking main fuse and it being ok, and not knowing about another one, thats where it got confusing. Can't all be electrical whizzes like yourself. You could try ;) internets mad...

Re: mot

Had that with the car, failed the car on shockers but as he could not bounce my loaded transit work van, that all ways passes,MOTs are a very grey area. Bounce test has been removed for cars and vans now, no failure for 'negligible damping effect', still current on 2 wheelers though, as Digger said.

Re: mot

This taking the panels off has all ways bugged me, you would not strip the panels off a modern twist and go to check the shocker so why do they do it to lambrettas. If the panels are easily removable without any tools, we are allowed to remove them, that means Scooter sidepanels to get frame number...
