Re: exhaust mountings, solid or rubber mounted, thoughts ?

100% agree with a.lo.v2. What you seem to have is 3 flexible points and one fixed, ''the pipe has 3 rubber mountings and is clamped to the stub'' If you let it 'float' at the stub your problems may disappear. Re: exhaust mountings, solid or rubber mounted, thoughts ?

I quite like the idea of a flexible joint, I presume its like cars have, a sort of braided steel, when I repair it it just seems to crack somewhere else, it is all on rubber mounts at the moment, I guess its the resonance that vibrates back and forth that splits it.

Re: Building for a V5

First thing I would do is get your dating certificate, that will give you you year of manufacture, if it’s over 40 years old you will put it as historic when sending off the application for a v5 , that will make it mot and tax excerpt, I have been told it does not have to run, but must be complete a...

Re: Lambretta crank induction with Malossi MHR 221

a shorter rear shocker will give the head more space on the first frame you had it in, a center plug head would help too, offset cones might help as well, been through this with my rotax, my barrel is slightly leaning down to give more clearance and I trimmed the head, and a short spark plug, ways a...
