OK , Cheers .
Its a series 3 block with a S2 side casing in my Series 2 .
Am I right in thinking I`ll have problems with the kickstart hitting the floor if I put a Series 3 casing on it ?

Yes I do, its a long stroke mugello with a reed valve . Not sure what the comp ratio is but it is a monster to kick over. So thats just progessive stress failure is it ???

Dai at On Small Wheels did my Mugello 192 with a Jimmers reed valve and it has been great. Taken loads of abuse , ridden flat out everywhere. Any cock ups have always been something stupid thats I have or have not done :oops:

Anybody else has this happen ???
And any idea why ??
I did have the engine apart to replace the rear hub bearing and seal a couple of days ago but it kicked over fine . Then yesterday this ???

Be warned mate...they are deafening......got rid of mine after a month....fitted and looked nice though, didn`t like the headaches and the shocked stares :o

I`ve just had a frame , forks hubs etc etc all blasted and powder coated by a local company and am chuffed with the results and like the colour. The legsheilds need a little bit of welding doing and some dents removed before they are ready for spraying , I was thinking of having them blasted and coa...

Sorry for the late reply Minotaur, yes I modifed the piston but no boost port and it was running great but I was paranoid about the steel reeds that were fitted. Sooooo I bought 2nd hand reed blocks with Boyesen glass fibre reeds fitted . These changed the behaviour of the engine as they were lighte...

I`ve got a Jimmers reed manifold with PWK 28mm on a Mugello 192 and I loves it !!.

still playing with different types of reed thicknesses though
