If its ‘searching’ on tickover it might be short of fuel. Be worth putting in a bigger float valve and/ or pilot jet. What size are these now?

Always baffles me how sip and scootercenter can manage to mail stuff via courier across europe cheaper and faster than uk based dealers can ship within the uk

I’d switch to the cable with the built in threaded section and do away with this adjuster. One less thing to worry about

A lot of people cut/ bend off the nut cage and get a spanner around the nut, otherwise like you say you’re completely blind
