Re: cobbling together an engine
I ran my GP200 for years with standard SX200 gearing, using a an AF 200 Stage 4 barrel with the tranfer ports in the top of the casing opened up to match. It breathed through a 25mm Dellorto with a standard air filter. and had a 42mm RS clubman exhaust. It went really well one up, but you had to sli...

Re: led conversions
I was fed up with my headlamp dimming when I operated the rear brake. So tried a LED rear/brake light bulb. Whilst it was OK it wasn't as bright as the old filament bulb. (My Gp is fitted with a SIL electronic ignition with a Ducati regulator) So I've just fitted an LED rear light board from Rich Pr...

Re: af or sip rims
That's the problem with buying stuff online. If it needs repairing or replacing, the cost of postage can be more than the cost of repairing of fettling it locally. It's also amazing how helpful staff can be when you dump faulty/ not fit for purpose goods they've sold you on thier counter on a busy ...

Re: af or sip rims
I also agree, but correct me if im wrong the wheel nuts on a car/single sided swing arm are conical at the mating surfaces thus centralizing the rim to hub by taking up exessive play :?: On scooter rims they are not just bog standard nuts/washers ;) When I fitted the AF rims, to ensure the rim is ce...

Re: af or sip rims
I've been using the AF ones for 5 months with no problems. The rims aren't a tight fit against the hub edges however if correctly torqued up, the weight of the the scooter and rider will not be on the studs but will transfer through the mating surfaces of the rim and hub........well thats the theory...

Re: Thin ring/quality piston options for standard GP/200dl?
What are my options for a quality 66.0mm piston with thin rings? Its for a standard GP/200dl so a MBD RaceTour is probably overkill. Looking for something with a full skirt (71mm). Asso pistons are good and don't break the bank. AF use them in a lot of thier kits. arent the inlets cut though? The p...
