Re: Nasty engine noise, that goes when clutch pulled in ?!?!
Thinking outside the box (excuse the pun!!)....could the noise be coming from the top end (crank/main bearings/piston slap/etc) the gearbox having problems may have caused damage at the top end....just a thought

Re: throttle and mot
i'd be suprised if the throttle movement was part of an MOT....look on an old MOT and puzzle over where you'ld write "throttle fail"..

Yes....whip your choke jet out and you should see the numbers, not sure what you should be on but 50+ would be a starting point.muffster wrote:Iv'e uprated the main jet and pilot jet and changed the atomizer.

The consensus seems to be to ditch the Jetex so buying another isn't the answer. I've had a jetex and had the usual problems, changed to a delly and hasn't missed a beat...an another note: with you working away a fair bit could your petrol be deteriating in the tank ?

I finally got round to fixing the leak at the weekend and rode it down to the Felixstowe coaster's bash on Saturday which was about 50 mile...

Re: new piston and rings

Hi Mick1, Were you the chap i spoke to at the Lions run ? Tried the Avanti for the Dutch lions run and found mainly sat at 50-55mph giving similar mpg return to the TS1 that was with me, however it would sit comfortably at 50 mph and hesitated above half throttle. I did drop it down to 3rd for some...
