Re: eBay resurrection scooters
What ever happened to Lambretta Body Bits? Out of Luton I believe. They made excellent body work.

Re: Race Tour Pistons
How does a steel pin get welded into an ali. piston? Put a loop in the pin, fit and weld round it? Just can't picture itulyssescale wrote: I sent the piston away to have the top pin removed and replaced with a welded-in pin.

Re: Thoughts on Mugello 186 port timings
I believe I would set her up with a tv rodded suzi 190. Plenty of pull, won't rev to high, easy to get rings/oversize piston in the middle of no where if necessary.
Blow the muggy up and you're done.
Keep it simple, she's a lot of miles to go.

Re: Split die thread chaser
Not going to be easy spinning the die for the 5mm with a 1" socket, that is a small thread to be wobbling a big socket around on. Best make sure the sockets fit tight or the threads won't chase properly either. Good idea though. Now, if you had two halves you could screw together, that would be...

Re: Which clutch top plate
Having enough clutch separation is obviously necessary, but so is clutch engagement. Cleaning out the oil grooves makes it all bite better. Sounds stupid and easy, but it works.
