Port timings are:
exhaust 171
transfer 135
blowdown 18.24
inlet 140
I made the mistake of going with an SR kit as readily available here but had to do a lot of work with base spacer and skimming the top of the cylinder to get these.

Re: Carb experimentation, cold start issues.
The tuner doesn't think it's spark related as it starts and runs fine other than once a day. I'm wondering though if the spark is marginal and just not enough for the most difficult start of the day. The stator is an mb 12v electronic and considered switching to a vape with added benefits of better ...

He has loads of different carbs to play with. So far we have experimented with two carbs, a good qua...

VHSH 30 CS fitting tips?
A friend of mine who is an experience go cart tuner suggested I try a VHSH 30 CS carb and that this might solve my issues with the current Mikuni. He brought a carb over to try and did a trial set up. It certainly starts very easily and revs well. Didn't ride as didn't fit throttle cable etc. A few ...

Re: Stand feet pins coming out.
I think that's correct on the original stands at least. The stainless stand I have though the hole doesn't go all the way through.gaz_powell wrote:I thought the hole went right through the stand and the pin is held by the friction of the rubber stand foot each side

Re: Why?????,this is doing my head in.....
You might want to look at the thread I started on "normal spitback" mine is very sensitive to the intake even to the extent that just adding a a hose, never mind a filter, affects its performance.

Re: Stand feet pins coming out.
Thanks, will give that a go. Although most of the pins I used were stainless and I wondered if that was OK, I did try some normal steel ones and they fell out too!
Wonder why people sell the stainless pins !!
