Re: which gearbox

Stock GT186 Dyno Graph: When you say "Stock GT186 Dyno Graph", are you sure the motor is a stock GT186 with no work whatsoever 'cos that's damn impressive and nowhere near what I've seen from a stock motor previously? :-? I grabbed a dyno sheet off of Lambretta Images for the power delive...

Re: which gearbox

Both OK but I'd say getting the gap between 3rd and 4th is way more important than the gap between 2nd and 3rd. On that basis GP200 with the preferred bigger crown wheel looks better IMO. GP200 vs. Li150 gearboxes: http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c243/avantone/gt186_2.jpg The graph on this particu...

Re: Advice on using choke to stop heat seize on long ride

Anyone played with feeding atomised water into the charge? (cheaper than petrol), and didn't CE try using a thumb activated screen wash motor to inject water into the header a few years back (apologies if I got that wrong). I'd also considered trying a pop off valve to open up a 2nd tail pipe and re...

Re: Pro Porting Xmas Tree For SX150 3/4th Gear Fix

can you please tell me someting, Tony I'm not sure - I was trying to establish the options myself from Turbovans post . I've got a 14T 2nd gear programmed into the visualiser which now looks like it wrong, so I was just trying to clarify before I update. At £175/£250 just for a 4-speed tree , it'...

Re: Wont rev out and misfiring - carb issue?

As Coaster says, it sounds more like ignition. Be careful about fuking about with jetting on what is essentially a standard motor - if it's misfiring and you think it's too weak, put the choke on when it does it - if it still misfires, it's ignition. Usual suspects, points/condenser, wet/high resist...

Re: gearbox visualiser

can anyone suggest the kick peaking peaked and redline figures are for a tv175 with a 24mm phbl and a clubman pipe many thanks dave If you don't get a direct answer from someone that has that dyno information, you can use this method for an approximation. http://www.forums.ilambretta.com/viewtopic....

Like a lot of things with a billet case. 60 stroke, 76mm bore there is an LC head to suit and a special monster crank with CR250 rod.
Very impressive. Commercial or personal project? :)
