Re: Engine Build - Advice needed

So as far as gearing is concerned should I use the 23/64 Polini gearbox or the 23/65 standard P200 gearbox (both of which I already have) or should I consider the 21/65 option outlined by Jack earlier ?? just to throw fuel on the fire what about the T5 fourth gear ??

Re: Engine Build - Advice needed

A 23/64 cruiser gearbox is going to go ok but will never really make a proper quick scooter. Even the standard 23/65 is already too high, for fast road. If looking for high speed is is best to reduce the gearing to 21/65 and port it to aim for 9000 rpm in top (which is about 88mph on GPS and safe p...

Yes indeed I was planning on getting the Cosa II sports clutch which has been banded by SIP, good advice about the cog as I hadn't considered that.

Re: Engine Build - Advice needed

I would consider changing the reeds, I'm not saying scootrs products are not very good but with the money you are spending I would look at the RD350 reeds. The actual reed petals are known to shatter, so buy the best you can. gaz powell is building a very similar spec engine and has shown some exce...

Re: ScootRS front master brake for VBB or GS

I am in the process of upgrading my cutdown at the moment with full hydraulic brakes. I use a rally/sprint headset which i had adapted to take the standard Grimeca vespa master cylinder and just used the scootRS hub and disc. The ScootRS hub and caliper are second to none a brilliant piece of kit bu...
