Re: CornwallScooterCentre Break-in
I've contacted Graeme and hopefully he'll be along dreckly to give full details. Yes, it's been a bad weekend Mark. It'll only take a small lead to get some sort of result.

Re: how do i tell the difference

Indian thicker by ?5mm?, The gearchange and switch housing are correspondently different. If not familiar you'd need the two different types side by side. Someone will b...

Re: Lambretta Rear Brake Adjuster
ALL it does is stop the knurled knob un-adjusting by keeping the barrell part (that sits in the arm) pushing under pressure against the curved recess in the adjuster (knurled knob). I read on MB about a neat mod using a tank strap trunnion to make an adjustab...

Re: Chain tension and scootopia chain
Hi Fluff, besides your new chain, are either the front sprocket or crownwheel new? Or from the original/ a different engine? There are some awful versions of both out there, either slightly over/ undersized and I've seen both sprockets and crown wheels machined off centre (eccentric). Your original/...

Re: Cowboy cylinder porting
I can see those photos, yes it does look a little thin for your casings doesn't it. The "artificial" support does work. If you take that further, (other than using a longer rodded crank[costly]), It is possible to get a machine shop to take the gasket face at the base as far up the cylinde...

Re: Cowboy cylinder porting
Johnny, be aware the cylinder may have come from/ was matched to, for example, a Spanish casing with tons of meat around the crankcase mouth to suit said "over" porting, or even set up with a 110/115/116 rod. Utilising a packing plate (even a 3mm for 110 rod) the cylinder transfer ports at...
