Try checking the thickness of the seal plate against another one if you can get hold of one I bought one from a well know reputable supplier last year it gave me the same problem turned out it was to thick

I had same problem early this year after checking & changing various items it turned out to be mag inner oil seal

I had the same problem on Saturday with a new Elmec flywheel had to Dremel the slots another 5 mil to get 17Btdc pick up position is totally different to my old Sil flywheel is your AF one made by Elmec

I use cheap safety googles from £1 shop etc with my filter mask then throw them away when they get overspray on them

I've used the Por 15 sealer & the sealer from tank care products I found the tank care products sealer far better
