Re: Inline hydraulic brake.

I've got one. No problem to bleed. I have a remote master cylinder behind the horncasting which I wouldn't do again as i find it a pain in the backside; that part was tricky to bleed, but i just "back-bleed" by injecting oil from the bottom end in a syringe which is much easier in my expe...

Inline hydraulic brake.

Hi all, I’m finishing off a project I started in 2016. The original plan was to keep everything standard with a pepped up motor using a GT186. I was going to use the original front drum brake in a reverse pull set up. Anyway I’ve now decided to fit an in-line hydraulic brake. I’ve fitted and set up ...

Re: RB20 fit

When I built my RB20 a few years back I had exactly the same issues using the MB studs. From memory I ditched those and fitted some ‘standard’ ones and just used the nuts and washers that came with the MB studs. I hope this helps Pete.

Stale fuel.

Hi all, I left my RB200 in my shed for almost 4 years and now the fuel ( unsurprisingly) is stale. What’s the best way to clean the tank out? I’ve already clean the carb out with fresh fuel and carb cleaner. Thanks in advance Pete.

Re: Leak down test.

If I pump it up to 4psi it takes almost 3 minutes to lose 1psi. That’s probably as good as I’ll get it and well over the 1 minute per psi allowance. Thanks all.

Re: Leak down test.

Are you sure its not the mag housing gasket thats giving you the problem? They are the only place bubbles appear when I spray soapy water on them. Everywhere else’s is bunged off and appear to be leak free. I could actually here the air escaping from them yesterday. Ive now got it to hold pressure ...
